This course is more suitable if you are smoking less than 20 to 25 cigarettes per day.
Nicorette Patch gives you discreet waking hours control over your craving symptoms in a stepped dosing system (using the three patch strengths). Using the correct strength patch supplies less nicotine than cigarettes and helps you avoid harmful physical (irritation) and chemical (eg tars, carbon monoxide) effects associated with smoking.
Nicorette Patch must be used correctly for full benefit.
Remember – the Nicorette Patch will slowly and continuously release nicotine over 16 hours. Due to this controlled release mechanism and due to removal before bedtime, you are not exposed to nicotine while you sleep (this reduces the possibility of any night time side effects, such as insomnia, or vivid dreams.)
We suggest you consider using Nicorette Patch as a carefully followed dose reduction measure over 12 weeks.
Additionally, if you find you are spending times in environments where you need to discreetly control your cravings ( eg business or work environment, long distance place travel, theatre or sports events, visiting smoke free relatives or spending quality time with children or infants), then you may find sporadic use of Nicorette Patch useful.
